AdverCheck was set up by James Walmsley and Lucy Rochford, bringing together complementary expertise and over 35 years of experience in consumer healthcare. We identified a gap in the market: while outsourced copy review services were well established in the prescription medicines sector, no specialist provider existed for consumer healthcare. AdverCheck was created to change that.

What began with advertising review has grown into a wider range of services, shaped by the needs of our clients. Today, we work with consumer healthcare companies, creative and communications agencies, retailers, pharmacies, clinics and telehealth providers, offering support that spans copy review, claims development and substantiation, streamlining review processes, reducing lead times, portfolio planning, training, mentoring, borderline products and POM-to-P switches.

Our team combines scientific and medical affairs expertise with in-depth knowledge of the advertising codes – gained through experience within consumer healthcare companies, the Consumer Healthcare Association (PAGB), and consulting with a wide range of organisations across the sector.
