How does AdverCheck review your copy?

All materials are reviewed against the relevant advertising codes and guidelines, including: the CAP Code (published by the Committee of Advertising Practice); the BCAP Code (published by the Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice); the PAGB Codes (where applicable); relevant guidance issued by the MHRA, including the Blue Guide and relevant guidance issued by the Department of Health and Social Care.

Depending on your needs, we can provide either separate “medical” and “regulatory” reviews or a single, combined review. For companies who are considering outsourcing copy review, AdverCheck can provide a full ongoing review and approval service.

How do we work with your in-house team & partner organisations?

We aim to work seamlessly with in-house teams and external agencies. Some materials may require approval from external bodies. Our team is experienced in working with Clearcast and Radiocentre and can support you through the submission and clearance process. As PAGB associate members, we can also help manage the interface with the PAGB Copy Clearance Team.

Should you choose a freelance consultant or AdverCheck?

Before joining forces to set up AdverCheck, James and Lucy both worked as independent consultants. That experience shapes how we work – when you choose AdverCheck, you benefit from the same personalised service and flexibility you would expect from a freelance consultant. The difference is that by joining forces, we are combining our complementary expertise. Having more than one specialist enables us to take on larger projects, improve turnaround times and provide continuity and cover for holidays. You can scale support up or down as your workload changes, and switch different areas of expertise on or off when needed. Each client is allocated a main point of contact. You only pay for the hours worked, and almost all work is carried out by a single specialist.
